Undergraduate Evan Sterling was the 2021 winner of the SAE Phoenix Alumni scholarship due to his outstanding essay and academic performance.
Evan stands out as a great example among his peers due to his work ethic and moral compass towards philanthropy and helping others. You may note on his resume that he's been actively involved with a worthwhile cause of fundraising as Philanthropic Chairman ($35k raised) and awareness for organizations such as an Ambassador for Phoenix Children's Hospital, Horses Help and the Casa Center for Positive Social Change. Evan participated with our SAE Phoenix Alumni Association charity Horses Help and rallied many others to join that effort. He has been a leader and mentor on the ASU campus as evidenced by recognition as President of the Month (ASU IFC).
Evan is a goal oriented young man who has maintained a 3.55 GPA in the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU, one of the top business colleges in the US. He wants to attend the Wharton School for an MBA since his major studies are in economics, finance and real estate. He expanded his career experience with work as a leasing analyst for Mark-Taylor Residential (a top firm in Phoenix) and investment analysis internship with Anodize Capital Partners.
Further, he was just awarded the Trading Markets and Investments certificate for advanced knowledge of security trading. Evan has been a New American University Scholar- Dean's Award and been on the Dean's List for multiple semesters at ASU.
Pertaining to his involvement with SAE, Evan has served as Eminent Archon and Philanthropic Chairman of the Arizona Beta chapter. There are many students here at ASU that come for privileged backgrounds or they were held to high standards by wonderful parents who made them work for it. In Evan's case, he is one of those great kids who had good mentoring, a middle-class background and who wants to make a difference in what he does.
He is a True Gentleman who would benefit from this financial assistance!
